Late Alh. Ahmadu Muhammadu Wabi III Annual Championship - Uniting the 7 Local Governments of Katagum Zone
The Wabi Inter-LGA Competition is one of Katagum Youth League's most active and impactful community initiatives. Conceived as an annual multi-category championship, it brings together young talents and students from all seven Local Government Areas of Katagum Zone — Gamawa, Giade, Itas/Gadau, Jama'are, Katagum, Shira, and Zaki. Named in honor of the late Emir of Katagum, Alh. Ahmadu Muhammadu Wabi III, the program promotes peaceful co-existence, talent discovery, intellectual advancement, and healthy regional rivalry.
Focuses on secondary school students, fostering critical thinking, logical argumentation, and public speaking skills on issues of civic awareness and sustainable development.
A high-stakes cognitive competition designed to improve vocabulary, spelling skills, and general knowledge, raising academic standards across schools in the zone.
Bringing communities together through friendly athletic tournaments and local games, fostering sportsmanship and unity among youth of different LGAs.
Showcasing cultural displays and promoting innovative solutions where young people present creative responses to local community challenges.
